Adding Gateways

Gateways can be added to The Things Stack by following instructions for Adding Gateways in the Console or Adding Gateways Using the Command-line interface.

LoRa™ Basics Station

The LoRa™ Basics Station protocol simplifies management of large scale LoRaWAN networks. LoRa™ Basics Station contains two sub protocols for connecting Gateways to Network Servers, LoRa Network Server (LNS) and Configuration and Update Server (CUPS). The Things Stack has full support for the LoRa™ Basics Station protocol. This section contains information for connecting your gateway using LNS or CUPS.

Cisco Wireless Gateway for LoRaWAN

The Cisco Wireless Gateway for LoRaWAN technical specifications can be found in Cisco’s official documentation. This page guides you to connecting the gateway to The Things Stack. Prerequisites User account on The Things Stack with rights to create gateways. Cisco Wireless Gateway for LoRaWAN with latest firmware (version 2.0.32 or higher), connected to the internet (or your local network) via ethernet. Console cable from USB to RJ45. Registration Create a gateway by following the instructions for the Console or the CLI.

MikroTik Routerboard wAP LoRa8 kit

MikroTik Routerboard wAP LoRa8 kit is a LoRaWAN gateway that contains a pre-installed UDP packet forwarder and an outdoor weatherproof wireless access point with 2.4 GHz WLAN interface and Ethernet port that could be used as a backend. It’s technical specifications can be found in the official documentation. Note: This gateway does not currently support changing Frequency Plans. There are multiple interfaces to configure the gateway parameters. This page guides you to connect it to The Things Stack using a web browser or the MikroTik Mobile App for Android/iOS.

Kerlink Wirnet iStation

Kerlink Wirnet iStation is a LoRaWAN gateway, whose technical specifications can be found in the official documentation. This page guides you to connect it to The Things Stack. Prerequisites User account on The Things Stack with rights to create Gateways. Registration Create a gateway by following the instructions for the Console or the CLI. Choose a Gateway ID and set EUI equal to the one on the gateway.

Kerlink Wirnet Station

Kerlink Wirnet Station is a LoRaWAN gateway, whose technical specifications can be found in the official documentation. This page guides you to connect it to The Things Stack. Prerequisites User account on The Things Stack with rights to create Gateways. Kerlink Wirnet Station with Common Packet Forwarder installed and enabled and/or running firmware version 3.0 or higher. NOTE: Minimum CPF version tested is v1.1.6 Registration Create a gateway by following the instructions for the Console or the CLI.

MultiTech Conduit AEP

The MultiTech MultiConnect® Conduit™ is a configurable, scalable cellular communications gateway for industrial IoT applications. The technical specifications of this Conduit can be found in the software guide in the official documentation page.
